Got a Question?

Q1: Do you do gluten free pizza bases?

Darvid’s Pizzeria makes gluten free pizza bases for customers who are gluten intolerant. The gluten free base comes in medium size only and is charged at the same price as our regular medium size pizzas. We take great care to ensure that flour containing gluten does not come into contact with our gluten free orders. Please take this into consideration if you have an extreme intolerance to gluten.

Q2: Can I order a half and half pizza?

We appreciate that sometimes it can be hard to decide which of our delicious pizzas you should order so the half and half pizza option is perfect. Available in large size only with a small $1 surcharge.

Q3: Do you cater for large groups?

Of course! We are more than happy to cater for large groups, functions or school and community events. We are open from 12pm Thursday to Saturday and can cater for offices or schools during lunchtime.

We also provide this service outside of opening hours and need at least 48 hours notice. Contact us before your event to receive a generous discount on large orders.

Q4: What time do you start and finish deliveries?

We start deliveries at 5.30pm each day and finish ½ an hour before closing time, so don’t leave it too late to place your order!

Q5: How long can I expect a delivery to take?

Our standard delivery time is 30-40 minutes during the week and up to one hour on weekends, including Friday night (our busiest night!)

We do our best to get your delivery to you as soon as possible and allow a little extra time in case our drivers get delayed en route due to bad weather and traffic.

Q6: Do you charge for delivery?

Our standard delivery charge is $3.5 for customers in the immediate locality. If you’re ordering from our Croydon Hills store this includes parts of Croydon, Croydon Hills, Ringwood and Warranwood. If you’re ordering from our Blackburn store our standard delivery service includes Blackburn, Blackburn North, Blackburn South, Box Hill and Forest Hill.

If you live further out, our delivery fee increases to $6 as a maximum charge. Please contact us to find out the specific delivery charge for your location.

Q7: How big are the pizzas?

Our small pizza is 9 inches in diameter (six slices) and suitable for 1 adult or two small children.  Our medium pizza is 11 inches in diameter (8 slices) and suitable for 1 to 2 people depending on how hungry they are. Our large pizza is 13 inches in diameter (8 slices) and suitable for 2-3 people depending on how hungry they are.

In our experience, four people usually order two large pizzas which is normally enough to satisfy their appetite. However, we know that you can never have too much pizza and advise customers to order more than they think they need just in case they’ve misjudged their hunger levels. And if there is any leftover pizza, it tastes just as great the next day warmed up in the microwave and is perfect for a snack or even in your kids’ lunchbox!

Q8: Do you accept credit cards?

We accept credit cards which can be used in store, over the phone or online when ordering.  We do not retain card details for security reasons. Please note there is a $2.5 surcharge for credit card payments via phone.

Q9: Are you open on public holidays?

Darvid’s Pizzeria is open on all public holidays except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day as per our regular hours.
